The adoption of the Internet in the banking industry on the one hand is closely related to a change in the structure of the organization and nature of operations in banking industry itself, and on the other hand, to the emergence of computer as a significant organizational tool. Banks have always been starving to introduce new technologies to reduce operational costs and expand their businesses. This study is an attempt to investigate the contribution of Internet banking on the performance of the banking system in India. Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) ratios are used to test this effect. The regression analysis showed that there is a significant effect of Internet banking services on the profitability of banks in terms of ROA and ROE in India

The capital or stock market along with the money market is one of the most important parts of financial sector of the nationā€™s economy, providing long-term financing required for efficient production and service activities. The total stock price index as reflector of stock market fluctuation is important for finance practitioners and policy-makers. Therefore, in this research, a comparative investigation was presented on two superior deep-learning-based models, including long short-term memory (LSTM), and convolutional neural network long short-term memory (CNN)-LSTM, applied for analysing prediction of the total stock price index of Tehran stock exchange (TSE) market. The complete dataset utilized in the current analysis covered the period from September 23, 2011 to June 22, 2021 with a total of 3,739 trading days in the TSE market. Forecasting accuracy and performance of the two proposed models were appraised using root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) criteria. Based on the results, the CNN-LSTM showed the lowest values of the aforementioned metrics compared to the LSTM model, and it was found that the CNN-LSTM model could be effective in providing the best prediction performance of the total stock price index on the TSE market. Eventually, graphically and numerically, various prediction results obtained from the proposed models were analysed for more comprehensive analysis

Appropriate use of non-conventional water resources including surface runoff and sewage is produced an issue that has emerged as a necessity particularly in Iran. This thread has been created specifically in Tehran. The current study was aimed to investigate the economic value of sewage at Agricultural Sector in South of Tehran with produced approach in the contaminated and clean area. From the results, the average yield of wheat production among the farmers from polluted water was 376 kg ha-1 more than farmers who used clean water. Moreover, the economic value of water was 110 Rials more than farmers who used clean water. According to the results, the total value of wastewater in Tehran in 1405 would be equivalent to 335,480 million Rials. The priorities for interests of irrigation using wastewater from an agricultural perspective suggests that availability and reliability of wastewater than other water sources and low cost of its use is the most important benefit. The next priority result of irrigation with wastewater is increasing crop yield and improving soil fertility. This explains why farmers despite the legal prohibition of the use of untreated sewage continue to utilize this source of irrigation water

The viability and efficiency of crop insurance policies depend on farmersā€™ demand and willingness for crop insurance. The present study analyzes the insurance demand of 441 date farmers in the Saravan region. Data showed that 68.87 percent of the farmers did not agree with insurance. The results of the ordinal logit model at five different levels indicated that awareness of insurance benefits, insurance record, previous-year yield, and educational level, the standard deviation of income, orchard area, and satisfaction with insurance services were the main variables influencing the demand for insurance. The coefficient of variation of the likelihood of insurance adoption was estimated at all five levels. A 1percent increase in satisfaction with insurance services increases the likelihood of a personā€™s shift from the ā€˜strongly disagreeā€™ category to the ā€˜disagreeā€™ category by 6.3 percent. Older date farmers abstain from insurance adoption, which needs reflection given the religious view in the region on interest rates on the one hand and the resistance of older people against modern risk management methods on the other

The Khabr National Park is the most important national park that is located in the South East of the country. It benefits from a great deal of animal and plant biodiversity and climate variability that are of great importance for rural recreation. Therefore, the National Park's valuation could explain its importance to the rural people and the tourists inside the park.as well as affect the decisions of the managers. The main aim of this study is to estimate the value of protecting the natural resources of this national park. The Logit model and a dual two-part selection method was used in order to investigate the factors affecting rural people and touristsā€™ willingness to pay. The data needed for this research study was collected by completing questionnaires and interviews with 228 persons from local people and tourists in 2015. This activity was carried out for three months using the Cochran general formula and random sampling was used. The results showed that factors such as gender, education, previous participation in promotional classes, participation in state institutions, being a local resident and income have a positive and significant effect while age and the proposed amount have a negative and significant effect on local people's willingness to pay (WTP). The per personā€™s average willingness to pay is about 180 thousand Rials and the per familyā€™s average willingness to pay is about 800 thousand Rials per month. The results show that the rural people and the tourists inside the park and other tourists place a high value on the natural resources. Therefore, it is recommended that politicians and policy-makers pay special attention to these natural resources and invest more on maintaining and improving the quality of these resources

Today, due to the increase in peopleā€™s awareness of environmental issues and the strict policies of governments, the competitiveness of companies depends on considering environmental issues at all levels of the supply chain. However, the implementation of green supply chain management strategies has lots of different risks. The main contribution of this research is to evaluate and rank the companies in the tire industry with an emphasis on the environmental risks of the sustainable supply chain using the hybrid best-worst method (BWM) and fuzzy VIKOR (FVIKOR). First, data analysis was implemented by applying the BWM technique, which has higher reliability than other similar techniques. Next, the importance of the indicators involved in the risk of the green supply chain, including operational, supply, product return, financial, demand, organizational, and government, was calculated. Finally, according to the calculated weights for each criterion, five active companies in the tire industry were ranked using the FVIKOR technique. The results of prioritizing criteria and subcriteria showed that ā€œfinancial risksā€ are the most important indicator among the indicators involved in green supply chain risk. Among the subcriteria, ā€œrates related to inflation and currencyā€ from the cluster of financial risks were recognized as the most important subcriteria. Moreover, the results of the ranking of five companies in the tire industry indicated that Dana Company is in the best situation in terms of green supply chain risks. Finally, a series of practical suggestions for managers and a series of scientific suggestions for future research have been presented.</p
